Oglethorpe University is searching for its next president. Nick Ladany, who has served as president of the Brookhaven-based private college since July 2020, is leaving to take the same role at San Francisco Bay University. He will resign June 2, according to an announcement from the university. Provost Kathryn McClymond will serve as interim president as the university Board of Trustees conducts a national search for a new leader. Ladany helped Oglethorpe set enrollment records, strengthen its finances and operate safely amid the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the announcement.
