BROOKHAVEN — Joseph Deer placed the star on Brookhaven's Christmas Tree from a bucket truck ahead of the Christmas season Monday. Brookhaven Electric has helped put the tree together for the past three years. Workers from Brookhaven Recreation Department and Brookhaven Electric had arrived at Railroad Park to begin work at 9a.m. They would have finished at about 11:30 a.m. but a part needed to plug in the star to the lights was lost. Workers were able to find it and finish the job at around 2p.m.
