Brookhaven Bank founder Bill Sones Sr. has been recognized for 50 years of service to the banking industry. Mississippi Bankers Association President Gordon Fellows and Bank of Brookhaven President Shannon Aker presented the Banking in Mississippi 50 Year Award to Sones recently. Sones got his start in banking in 1972, and moved to the Home Seekers Paradise in 1977 with his wife, Theresa, and their then-6-month-old child.
